Power BI Basic Introduction Webinar
On Tuesday 8 October 2019 between 3:30pm – 4:00pm, EIS will be running a Power BI Basic Introduction Webinar.
Power BI is a an analysis tool which can be used with SIMS in order to visually analyse and display data held within SIMS. The Webinar is intended for those at schools who are interested in using new ways to analyse their SIMS Data and who are either new users to Power BI or would like a refresher on this.
The Webinar will provide users with an introduction to Power BI and using this with SIMS. We will focus on how to analyse and monitor SIMS data using a variety of visualisations and graphical formats within Power BI.

S341 SIMS School Workforce Census (Staff) Seminars – To help schools to complete the School Workforce Census (November)
Delegates will get the census processes explained in the seminar and some of these will be demonstrated. There will also be an opportunity to network with others.
The target audience, for these seminars, is the staff in school who will be completing the census, or any others with a particular interest in the census process.
Bromley Census Briefings
EIS will be running through the Census process in SIMS at a Bromley Census session in the new year.

Hot Off The Press!
School and Post 16 Census – Thursday 3 Oct 2019
All schools should import Fileset 1304 or above in order to validate the return and generate the School Summary report. Please refer to Information Notice 19-E051.
It is recommended that schools check the School Census and Post 16 Census pages on the Support Portal in order to keep up to date with the census news. The latest Fileset version will be posted under the School Census button. Before submitting your census, please make a final check that you have imported the latest version of the Fileset.
If you have any errors that you are unable to resolve please refer to Capita’s Census Validation Errors and Resolutions 2019 – 2020 and the EIS School and Post-16 Known Issues first; if you are still unable to clear the error then log a call with the Service Desk on 03000658888 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
