EIS Weekly Update – 27 June 19

Welcome to your weekly EIS Bulletin!

We appreciate how busy your inbox can become, so EIS will only send out Support & News messages every Thursday.

If there is something critical that our customers need to know immediately, we will of course send a message straightaway –

that way you will know the EIS email needs urgent action.

Below we have summarised what is new this week… if you have any queries, please get in touch!

SIMS Summer 2019 Upgrade Release

Following an announcement from Capita, EIS are expecting to be able to release the SIMS Summer 2019 upgrade on Friday 12 July.

What does this mean for my school?

EIS Hosted Schools:

We will upgrade the EIS Hosting Service on Friday 12 July at 5pm – Monday 15 July 6am.

Non Hosted Schools:

In order to allow non-hosted schools to plan their SIMS upgrade for either before the Summer break or during it, we are proposing to release the SIMS Summer upgrade files on SOLUS3 to all Schools by close of business on Friday 12 July 2019. As usual, our Upgrade Information Notice will be uploaded to our Support Portal before our proposed release date.

If however, Capita do not release the upgrade on the expected date, we will update this Information Notice and inform schools of the new proposed release / hosting upgrade dates.
