SIMS School Census – Summer 2019 – Thurs 16 May 2019 – Fileset versions

If you have already imported Fileset 1202 there is no need to import Fileset 1203 unless you have encountered error 1852 and/or error 1861.

Fileset 1203 includes the final version of the DfE validation and summer report files and it will be made available on the Support Portal once it has been released by Capita.

Schools can continue to use the baseline version (Fileset 1202) for their submission to the DfE, but use of the final version (Fileset 1203) will correct the following three issues:

Error 1861

Error Message: Early years pupil premium only required for pupils aged 3 and 4.
Solution: Import Fileset 1203 once available from the Support Portal.

Error 1852

Error Message: Child’s funded hours not provided or out of the range 0 to 15 to two decimal places for pupils aged 2 or 3.
Solution: Import Fileset 1203 once available from the Support Portal.

The word ‘Beta’ in the Summary Report heading

Solution: Import Fileset 1203 once available from the Support Portal.

Further assistance with errors in the census can be found in either the Known Issues or Validation Errors and Resolutions document.

Capita Accreditation Survey – We would really appreciate your help! AND there is also the chance to win a 7” tablet for the school

Schools that have SIMS support contracts with EIS should have received an email from Capita about the accreditation survey. We sent an email out to schools explaining what this is and a support document to help you complete the survey. The survey opens on 29th April until 17th May. Details are on the EIS Website

If you have a moment please complete the survey for us so that we can review our service and see where we can build on positive experiences and make improvement where needed. We are customer focused and want to provide a service to reflect our customer’s needs.
